Camera access begins with a browser prompt
Modern browsers require a page to request camera access and obtain the user's permission. Access may also depend on HTTPS or localhost, browser settings, operating-system privacy controls, and whether a compatible camera is available.
A video preview can help confirm that a stream is reaching the browser, but it does not guarantee that another meeting app selected the same device or that its settings are correct.
Release the camera when finished
Stopping each media track ends the page's access to the stream. Check the browser's camera indicator after stopping, particularly when troubleshooting a device used by several applications.
CalcPool's camera preview is muted and local. It does not capture an image or upload video. If you did not expect a permission request, deny it and leave the page.
